About the Journal
The Deck Hand is a harbour for sea-themed creative work of all kinds — pelagic poetry, pirate prose, maritime music, aquatic art, and a bountiful miscellany of creative flotsam and jetsam.
Founded in 2019, the journal gathers poetry, music, fiction, photography and visual art that takes the sea as its subject — the working coast as much as the open water, the harbour as much as the horizon. Dive in and take a look.
